Beatrice Muniu’s
songs plainly echo from her homeland, Africa. She was raised
in a Christian family
with music at its heart.
In 2001, God opened an opportunity for Beatrice
to record her music. This took two years which resulted in Beatrice’s faith vision,
her first CD, ‘New Beginnings’.
The first song on the album, also the very first
to be recorded was ‘Muti-ini’, a song reflecting that
at the tree, the foot of the cross, we must patiently keep our faith
until we
meet with Jesus.
When she sings in Swahili, Beatrice's powerful voice is at
times reminiscent of Angelique Kidjo or a young Miriam Makeba.
Beatrice has performed alongside Ron Kenoly,
Sonnie Badu, Muyia and Riversongz at various concerts in June, 2009
in the
UK.
In fact, her achievement in the Gospel music contributed
to her nomination for
best female Artist’ at ‘Talanta Africa Awards’ 2009,
held in Atlanta Georgia in November; also nominated for the
African Music Awards (2010) in London, UK.
Beatrice has travelled around London and other
Places around the UK, Africa and and USA. She also featured at the
Greenbelt
Festival 2003 (August) which is a major annual international
event held at Cheltenham
Racecourse in Gloucester.
Beatrice music continues to bless many in concerts,
conferences, charity events and many more in the UK and America.
It is Beatrice’s desire to see her songs
touching hearts and lives to the glory of God; that people might
be blessed, encouraged
and healed through her music and that they in turn
might give glory to the One who determines our destiny and inspires
us all.
